Comic lovers gather ‘round!

An unforgettable experience with some of Italy’s best comic artists is waiting for you on Friday, October 28. A unique evening during which you will also be served a tasty dinner based on traditional dishes at a local tavern.

Riccardo Innocenti: After attending the Scuola internazionale di Comics (International Comics School) in Florence, in 2009 Riccardo starts working for Round Robin and L’Insonne for several years. In 2016 he has drawn n. 3 of The Professor, titled “Follia” with texts by Cristiana Astori. In 2021 he has drawn for The Professor “Nistarim”, with texts by Roberto Leoni; he also takes part in the choral work titled “Non sono stato io! (quasi tutta la verità sul Covid-19)” for Edizioni SBAMM. In the same year he starts collaborating and he still works for the weekly “Skorpio”, by Aurea Editoriale.

Marcello Mangiantini: Marcello approaches the world of comics after taking part in the contest “Pierlambicchi” in Prato. In 1992 he attends several artistic courses and three years later he joins the Lucca Fumetto association, through which he publishes his first works. Between 1996 and 2002 he works on both realistc and humoristic comics, and in 2003 he starts working for Sergio Bonelli Editore, joining the team of Zagor. He has also drawn for Martin Mystère, Nathan Never, Dampyr, and Dragonero, but he is still firmly grounded to Spirito con la Scure.

The Magione del Tau is a cozy tavern and wine art located in piazza Ricasoli 7, in Altopascio’s historical center. Here you can taste traditional products made by local producers who only strive for excellence, such as cold cuts, cheeses, and carpaccio. Moreover, the tavern arranges themed activities and other unconventional evenings, itinerant exhibitions, and literary aperitifs.
