A splendid camellia grove that reveals all its wonders at the arrival of spring, an ancient village suspended in the green that welcomes us and delights us with its gastronomic products, a rich programme of activities, guided tours and workshops will leave you mesmerised in Borgo delle Camelie (lit. “The Village of Camellias”).
Come with us and discover the most visited camellia grove in Italy and, by extension, one of the largest in Europe, especially prepared for the 34th edition of the Antiche Camelie della Lucchesia Exhibition.
Day 1
The first day will be dedicated to visiting the Exhibition. In the morning, you will be accompanied by a guide to discover the wonders of the Camelietum in all its splendour. Later, you will be welcomed and guided to an ancient Chiusa Borrini – a space that takes its name from the enclosing of its perimetral walls – which houses one of the largest tea plantations (particularly of Camelia Sinensis) in Italy!
After lunch, chosen at will, you will take part in the scenic Japanese tea ceremony, and then walk with a guide through Borgo delle Camelie. In the afternoon you will enjoy various activities, such as photo exhibitions, workshops and jazz concerts.
For dinner, you will be welcomed in a traditional local restaurant where you will savour local products.
Day 2
In the morning, visit the splendid Villa Reale, one of the most beautiful historical residences in the province of Lucca. Its architecture and gardens will transport you to an enchanting world. The afternoon will be free.
The price and the program may vary depending on the dates, the number of participants, weather conditions and any external factor. Tours will be carried out following all the guidelines established in order to avoid the spread of Covid-19 virus.
